Long before the first covey rises or the first duck breaks the morning sky, the foundation of every exceptional gundog is carefully laid through generations of thoughtful breeding. Our breeding philosophy is inseparable from our training program. We actively hunt over the dogs we produce and campaign them in upland and retriever hunt tests, field events, and conformation, proving that true quality is measured not only by appearance, but by performance. Our dogs have earned AKC Champion and Grand Champion titles alongside Master Hunter titles while demonstrating the drive, intelligence, and trainability demanded of exceptional working gundogs. We are proud to be a Boykin Spaniel Society Silver Level Preferred Breeder and Sponsor Member, and we triple register all of our dogs through the BSS, AKC, and UKC to uphold the highest standards of accountability and breed integrity.

Founder Addie Lloyd has built Shadow Hill on an intuitive understanding of canine behavior, purposeful training, and an unwavering commitment to preserving the Boykin Spaniel's authentic character.
